“ 5.17.25 after stopping by another place with slow and not very friendly staff, we stopped here, and although they were busy and short staffed, our waitress was high energy, friendly, efficient, and she made our visit perfect. We had the burger, pulled pork sandwich, and beer. All were great. They also have indoor and outdoor dining and an outdoor firepit. The outdoors is pet friendly. ”

“ A true diamond in the rough. One of my friends found this place while searching online and I'm glad he did. Food is absolutely AMAZING. In one week, we did lunch here twice, one night I ordered a late dinner for takeout, and I returned on my last night to have a drink at the bar (and to eat wings one more time). You should know that the kitchen is typically open late, but call to confirm as the hours seem to change daily. As for the food... The wings and chili are listed as "Award Winning" and I can confirm that they taste like they would win awards. SO GOOD! The ribs were tasty as well. The Monday Special called "Texas Twinkies" was out of this world! They're Jalapeno peppers stuffed with chorizo and wrapped in Bacon and then smoked (not fried) and OMG they are absolutely delicious! Kind of wish they were an everyday item. The restaurant itself was kinda unassuming, sitting at the beginning of town (across from the Olympic Ice Skating Oval). The decor was cute with painted murals on a couple of the walls. As a Jimmy Buffett fan (Parrothead), I was excited to hear some of his music mixed in with other Gulf&Western style music playing on the radio here. There was even a little margarita sticker tribute to Buffett's life on the entrance door. Turns out the owner is a fan as well. This place has quickly become one of my favorite places in Lake Placid. Will definitely be eating here in the future. ”

“ My son and I ate here on a Saturday night. Service was very friendly, cocktails wonderful, and our burgers were AMAZING!! I did see a review that mentioned the prices being high. I think that, for what you get, they were reasonable. My smash burger was 19 and HUGE with home made potato chips th as t were great. I would recommend this place to anyone...maybe not a vegan... ”

The indoors has a good vibe, and the outdoor seating is great. Plus, they have a firepit. The pulled pork and burgers were delicious. Our waitress was awesome. I'd definitely come back. ”

“ Nothing bad I could say about this place! If you’re looking for great quality BBQ with a nice casual feel this is the place! The portions were huge! The service was also incredible! A tad pricey but I think it’s worth it!! I’d recommend their tacos but my boyfriend got one of their speciality burgers and it was HUGE and he said full of flavor! Would come back especially since they are open super late! ”

“ Best food we’ve had in Lake Placid — hands down! This is our second trip to the area, and The Pickled Pig has officially earned a permanent spot on our yearly summer vacation tradition. Kevin, our server, was absolutely amazing — super attentive and on top of everything that was supposed to come out with our order. He also gave some great recommendations off the menu, which made the experience even better. We had the nachos with pulled pork and WOW — they were unreal! Loaded, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. If you’re in Lake Placid, don’t miss this place. Can’t wait to be back next year! ”
